Change default visibility for all events in Google Calendar
When you are sharing a google calendar and google reads your gmail and finds trips/airline tickets/... and adds those events to your calendar, it defaults visibility to 'only you'
To change it (I chose default visibility) follow steps below:
Change the default visibility of all events
Important:
- If your calendar is public and events from Gmail are set to "Calendar default,” all Gmail events are visible.
- To find who has access to your calendar, check your sharing settings.
- On your computer, open Google Calendar.
- At the top right, click Settings menu
Settings.
- On the left, click Google Workspace smart features.
- Under "Show events from Gmail," click Privacy of email events.
- Select a visibility setting:
- Calendar default
- Private
- Only me
- In the pop-up, select whether to apply the visibility to new events or all events.
