Change default visibility for all events in Google Calendar

When you are sharing a google calendar and google reads your gmail and finds trips/airline tickets/... and adds those events to your calendar, it defaults visibility to 'only you'
To change it (I chose default visibility) follow steps below:

Change the default visibility of all events

Important:

  • If your calendar is public and events from Gmail are set to "Calendar default,” all Gmail events are visible.
  • To find who has access to your calendar, check your sharing settings.
  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. At the top right, click Settings menu  and then Settings.
  3. On the left, click Google Workspace smart features.
  4. Under "Show events from Gmail," click Privacy of email events.
  5. Select a visibility setting:
    • Calendar default
    • Private
    • Only me
  6. In the pop-up, select whether to apply the visibility to new events or all events.
